چکیده
Background: Fractures of the proximal femur hip are relatively common injuries in adults. Several epidemiological studies show that incidence fractures is increasing. Dissatisfaction with use a sliding screw unstable fracture patterns led to development intramedullary devices. This design offers potential advantages like more efficient load transfer, decrease tensile strength on implant, controlled impaction, reduces amount and therefore limits limb shortening deformity. Objectives: assess clinical functional outcome post operatively during follow ups by using Proximal Femur Nail. Methods: prospective study 30 cases fresh intertrochanteric subtrochantric admitted tertiary care center. Cases were taken according inclusion exclusion criteria. Results evaluated union X ray Harris score descriptive statistics used analyze data. Results: In our series there 23 males 7 females, most patients between 41 60 years. Mean age 57.7 years, due slip fall predominance right side. About 50% showed excellent good respectively as per Hip scoring system (Modified). Conclusion: From this study, we consider Femoral Nail reliable implant for treatment fractures. also gives very

Surgical Management Of Proximal Femur Fractures By Proximal Femoral Nail
Background and Objectives: Proximal third fractures of femur like intertrochanteric and subtrochanteric fractures, are a leading cause of hospital admissions in elderly people. The number of such admissions is on a raise because of increasing life span and sedentary habits. Conservative methods of treatment results in malunion with shortening and limitation of hip movement as well as complicati...
متن کاملProximal femoral nail failures in extracapsular fractures of the hip.
PURPOSE To review patients with proximal femoral nails (PFNs) in our hospital that developed complications and needed revision. METHODS Between January 2000 and June 2006, records of 216 patients with PFN fixations for traumatic extracapsular trochanteric fractures (n=160), pathological fractures (n=23), and as a prophylactic measure for metastasis (n=33) were retrospectively reviewed. The in...
متن کاملProximal femoral nail (Pfn) – a new stage in the theraPy of extracaPsular femoral fractures
The research was aimed at referring to contemporary problems concerning fractures of the proximal femur that, particularly in older patients, represent not only medical, but also social and nursing difficulties. Within November 2004 to March 2006, 83 patients with proximal femoral fractures were treated using PFN. Except for two cases, the post-operative course was favourable and patients could...
متن کاملProximal Femoral Nail Antirotation in Treatment of Fractures of Proximal Femur
INTRODUCTION Fractures of the proximal femur and hip are relatively common injuries in adults and common source of morbidity and mortality among the elderly. Many methods have been recommended for the treatment of intertrochanteric fractures. MATERIAL AND METHODS We retrospective analyzed all the patients with fractures of the hip treated with proximal femoral nail antirotation (PFNA) at the ...
متن کاملA retrospective analysis of surgically-treated complex proximal femur fractures with proximal femoral locking compression plate☆
Objective Analyze the outcomes of proximal femoral locking compression plate (PF-LCP) in these complex fractures. Methods This study retrospectively analyzed 21 proximal femoral fractures treated with PF-LCP from June 2013 to February 2015. There were 15 females (71%) and six males (29%) with an average age of 61.4 years (range: 34-80 years). The peritrochanteric fractures constituted by inte...
